Layering For The Cold

Continuing with yesterday's theme of how to stay warm in the winter cold, I want to talk about layering. Yes, a warm coat is crucial. It does not have to be fur like mine yesterday, but needs to be warm. But some people don't have several really warm coats that they can alternate with over the winter. And winter is long so we are bound to get bored with wearing one same coat every day. What do you do then? I start layering clothes. Today I am wearing a peacoat which for me is perfect for fall and late fall but not necessarily for cold winter. And since it does not cover the lower part of the body, I made sure to wear opaque tights underneath. My boots are platform so they keep the feet away from the cold ground which helps too. But on top I have several layers. I am wearing a thin camisole, warm but thin long sleeve t-shirt, chambray shirt, this H&M sweater for a pop of colour, and of course, the peacoat. You may think how does she even move with that many layers, but as long as you keep your layering pieces thin and soft, you will be able to move comfortably. Layering creates insulation between layers and this keeps you warm. Hope this helps. Ciao!

Danas nastavljam sa temom kako ostati doteran a da vam i dalje bude toplo. Znam da vama u istocnoj Evropi ovo nije bas najpotrebnije, s obzirom na temeraturu ovih dana, ali nikad se ne zna. Topao kaput naravno je izuzetno vazan. I ne mora da bude krzneni kao moj juce, da bi bio topao. Medjutim, nemamo svi u svom ormaru po nekoliko toplih kaputa, a nositi jedan isti cele zime, pa moze i da dosadi. Danas sam se odlucila za kratki jesenji kaputic. Posto mi noge nisu pokrivene, obukla sam debele najlonke za dodatni sloj topline. A gore sam obukla tanku majicu na bratele, majicu dugih rukava, teksas kosulju, dzemper vesele boje i naravno, kaputic. Mozda vam deluje da je nemoguce kretati se sa toliko slojeva na sebi, ali u koliko su svi slojevi mekani i tanki, necete imati problema. Vise slojeva pravi izolaciju koja vas greje pa cak i na najhladnijim danima. Cao!
