Hello lovelies! It’s
been a long time since I wrote anything on the blog. It’s been crazy busy time
for me for many reasons. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’ve been
in Eastern Europe, more precisely in Serbia for the last couple of weeks.
Here’s a brief
rundown. Last year has been one of the business periods of my life and I’ve
been under quite a bit of stress. Due to some personal reasons which
unfortunately I cannot share here, I’ve had to take some time off. I will be
here in Europe over the next few months so I’m very excited about this trip. It
was very hard for me to make this decision. Like most of us, taking such a huge
step can cause some fear and anxiousness. But what’s that saying? Life begins
on the other side of fear, right? Hopefully you will continue following me on
this new journey.
So first thing I
wanted to do when I landed here was go to Western Serbia. There were a few
reasons for this. First I wanted to get out of town and into nature and western
Serbia has some of the most beautiful nature trails, scenic views, cute ethno
villages and so much more.
Second reason is that my family (grandfather and great grandfather) are from this region and we still have our family house there. The house is 100 years old and is such a beautiful and very typical house from this region. I’ll share couple of photos in my next post but if you follow my Instagram Stories, you would have seen a glimpse of it already. I lay on the grass under a plum tree in the house yard, read a book, walked the trails of the village and just simply relaxed.
Riding a moped along the meandering roads between high mountains and deep canyons can leave your breathless. Walking along this beautiful ethno village called Drvengrad surrounded by the mountains leaves you so peaceful and happy to be alive. This village is never too crowded so you get to enjoy the peace and quiet. You can sit down and have a drink with a beautiful view. You can even watch a movie if you chose. After all, this village was built by one of Serbia’s most renown filmmakers who even created a movie festival which takes place in this village once a year, and has been visited by many famous actors.
So if you ever visit this region, you should definitely take a moment to stop by this village and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings. Unwind and enjoy life.
As for the outfit, I’m simply wearing Topshop mom jeans, a t-shirt and H&M slides, which I seem to wear non stop.
Hope you’re having a wonderful summer and stay tuned for more posts.
