AND OFF WE GO

So how do you start your very first blog? What do you say first? How to intrigue a reader and make yourself visible in this huge ocean of blogs available today? Do you start slow or do you just jump in and learn to swim as you go?  Well I thought about it for a while, and the more I thought, the harder it got to decide. I am not usually an indecisive person, but this was something completely new to me and I have to admit, it scared me a bit (read a lot!). And then I ran into some technical difficulties with my domain…and it seems it was just one thing after another that was preventing me to start, but I decided today was going to be the day.
Let me start off by telling you all why I started a blog. For one I am told I talk too much. So I thought I would put it in writing instead, to give a break to my loved ones. J But it is true that when I get excited finding a great deal, a piece of jewellery, or clothing that is a bit different, my husband (who unfortunately is exposed to way too much girl talk for his own good) does not share that excitement with me. At least not as much as I would like him to. So maybe some of u will get at least a bit as excited as I do. J I actually wanted to do this for myself. I love fashion blogs and I thought I would try and play with one of my own and see what it’s like.  I will also share with all of u my fashion finds and if I get to make someone’s shopping trip even a bit easier, help u find save a few dollars or just give you some inspiration for those days when you just can’t pick what to wear, it served its purpose!
I am someone who really loves fashion, clothes, accessories, shoes, shoes, shoes, beauty…and did I say shoes? I will be the first to admit that I do love labels, but just like many people out there, I cannot afford them, or not often. In today’s world the fashion changes so quickly, and we have all been swept into this world of consumerism that we want to have everything we see and we want to have it now. We want to change our look and our clothes as fast as they change in the fashion world. This can become expensive or impossible for us to keep up with, should we buy only the higher end pieces every time. I will try and give you less expensive options and still feel fashionable and trendy. I am a firm believer that money and labels do not give you style. We have seen way too many celebrities or reality TV personalities who prove this point, time and time again.
Now, I could go on and on about me and why I do this, but I do have to stop somewhere. So let this be it for now. I will talk to you soon again.
Ciao!
Aleksandra
P.S. I promise…my future posts won’t be as long as this one…at least I promise to do my best and keep them short. J

The Very First Outfit Post

I took a few outfit pictures over the last few days, as I was running around my day and I wasn’t sure what would be the first one to post. I debated and as the days went by and weather changed (it seems every day it was a different season), I decided to go with the very first one I shot. This one I actually took last month at the High Park.   It was the last few days when you could see the cherry tree blossom so I did not want to miss out on it. I love spring only for this reason, trees and flowers blossoming. And the fact that it is a sign that the summer is just around the corner (I am still waiting for this corner though), but it is a sign.      A little nervous giggle              Sweater Costa Blanca, white tee H&M, rings, earrings, necklaces and leggings Forever 21, watch Michael Kors, bag Louis Vuitton, sneakers Urban Planet, sunglasses Ray Ban   ...

Have You Visited Positano & Amalfi Coast Yet?

Pants Zara, jacket Zara, sneakers Forever21, bag unknown (Winners), dress unknown ( similar ), ankle boots PrettyLittleThings There are still quite a few more outfits and cities I’ll be featuring on the blog from my last year’s trip to Italy, however today I’m sharing this post from the last location we visited: beautiful Positano. As we visited Italy in the fall, outfits left to share are more fall appropriate, so I will share them come September. I’ll be dealing with two little babies then so God knows how much time I will have to shoot new outfits. As I’m laying on my couch bored out of my mind counting down the days to my delivery next week (whooohoooo!!!) I’m experiencing such FOMO. Partially because I won’t be going on vacation this summer (though becoming a mom to two little girls is quite awesome!!) and partially because I’m reminiscing of my travels last year. Positano seems to still be one of the most photographed summer destinations so I’m sharing a few pictures f...

Black & White Striped Forever 21 Dress & Aldo Shoes

Shoes Aldo, bag Target, dress Forever 21, jacket Le Chateau, sunglasses ZeroUV, spike bracelets Aldo, silver bracelet Tiffany&Co, watch DKNY Hello lovelies. I hope everyone had a beautiful weekend. Hopefully, those of you who are moms got to be pampered and spoiled by your kids and partners. I hope you also showed your love to your moms and thanked them for everything they have done for you. We should be doing it every day, but it’s really nice to have a day dedicated to these amazing women. I know how much my mother means to me and she certainly deserves every day to be dedicated just to her. I’m sure all of you feel the same way about your mothers too. Even the sun came out to shine and make Mother’s day even more special. I made sure to go bare legged to welcome the warmth and the sun. Today’s outfit is a cute spring look, easy to pull off. Black and white stripes always make a statement and a little pop of colour just makes the outfit complete. I spent the day out mostly...

Would You Wear a Bathing Suit as a Top?

Skirt H&M, bathing suit/top unknown, sandals Le Chateau, bag vintage Value Village, hat bought in Athens From north of Greece and beautiful Khalkidhiki peninsula, we headed due south and reached this little town called Athens 😊 . Athens Greece is simply beautiful. No matter where you are in the city, Gods of Acropolis are looking over you. It is such an amazing feeling especially at night when the city is covered by darkness and Acropolis shines in its full light and grandeur. It’s a wonderful feeling to be walking down city streets and being pleasantly surprised by monuments from Ancient Greece as you turn the next corner. I started of my city walk from Monesteriaki neighbourhood and walked around all neighbourhoods surrounding it, from Plaka and Kolonaki to Anafiotika and Gazi. I especially loved Anafiotika. If you love hilly neighbourhoods, then you will love Anafiotika. At night, you can sit on the stairs of cafés and enjoy a cold beer or a cocktail with all the local...
