A Maxi Kind Of Day

As I was going over my blog and the outfits I posted, I was realizing that so far most of the outfits I posted were more on the casual side. I guess one of the reasons is because all of the outfits I posted were exactly what I wore on that specific day when the pictures were taken. This actually goes well with what my intention was for this blog, and that is to give ideas to a regular person. Ideas for outfits that anyone can wear. I absolutely love over the top looks found in the fashion magazines and a lot of fashion blogs, but unfortunately, most of the time they don’t go hand in hand with my day to day life. And I am sure the same applies to most of you.
Back to this outfit. This was a going out outfit for me. I finally found a maxi skirt that looks good on my body. I don’t have a lot of hips, my waist is pretty high up and on top of that I have a heavy top. Due to this maxi skirts are a hard style for me to pull off without looking 20lb heavier. I tried many different ones and the result was always the same. I found this amazing skirt and was ecstatic that it fit me perfectly. The cut of the skirt is just right for me and there are not too many pleats to add bulk to my mid-section. I also love that it can be worn dressed up or dressed down, or somewhere in the middle, like my outfit here. I already have several looks in my head how I can wear it. I am sure this skirt will appear many more times on this blog. I wore it here with a chambray shirt to make the look a little bit more casual. I was not going to a fancy place so I didn’t want to be overdressed. Do you have a specific piece of clothing that you have been in love with but is a hard style for you to pull off? How have you dealt with this? Ciao!

The Very First Outfit Post

I took a few outfit pictures over the last few days, as I was running around my day and I wasn’t sure what would be the first one to post. I debated and as the days went by and weather changed (it seems every day it was a different season), I decided to go with the very first one I shot. This one I actually took last month at the High Park.   It was the last few days when you could see the cherry tree blossom so I did not want to miss out on it. I love spring only for this reason, trees and flowers blossoming. And the fact that it is a sign that the summer is just around the corner (I am still waiting for this corner though), but it is a sign.      A little nervous giggle              Sweater Costa Blanca, white tee H&M, rings, earrings, necklaces and leggings Forever 21, watch Michael Kors, bag Louis Vuitton, sneakers Urban Planet, sunglasses Ray Ban   ...

Have You Visited Positano & Amalfi Coast Yet?

Pants Zara, jacket Zara, sneakers Forever21, bag unknown (Winners), dress unknown ( similar ), ankle boots PrettyLittleThings There are still quite a few more outfits and cities I’ll be featuring on the blog from my last year’s trip to Italy, however today I’m sharing this post from the last location we visited: beautiful Positano. As we visited Italy in the fall, outfits left to share are more fall appropriate, so I will share them come September. I’ll be dealing with two little babies then so God knows how much time I will have to shoot new outfits. As I’m laying on my couch bored out of my mind counting down the days to my delivery next week (whooohoooo!!!) I’m experiencing such FOMO. Partially because I won’t be going on vacation this summer (though becoming a mom to two little girls is quite awesome!!) and partially because I’m reminiscing of my travels last year. Positano seems to still be one of the most photographed summer destinations so I’m sharing a few pictures f...

Black & White Striped Forever 21 Dress & Aldo Shoes

Shoes Aldo, bag Target, dress Forever 21, jacket Le Chateau, sunglasses ZeroUV, spike bracelets Aldo, silver bracelet Tiffany&Co, watch DKNY Hello lovelies. I hope everyone had a beautiful weekend. Hopefully, those of you who are moms got to be pampered and spoiled by your kids and partners. I hope you also showed your love to your moms and thanked them for everything they have done for you. We should be doing it every day, but it’s really nice to have a day dedicated to these amazing women. I know how much my mother means to me and she certainly deserves every day to be dedicated just to her. I’m sure all of you feel the same way about your mothers too. Even the sun came out to shine and make Mother’s day even more special. I made sure to go bare legged to welcome the warmth and the sun. Today’s outfit is a cute spring look, easy to pull off. Black and white stripes always make a statement and a little pop of colour just makes the outfit complete. I spent the day out mostly...

Would You Wear a Bathing Suit as a Top?

Skirt H&M, bathing suit/top unknown, sandals Le Chateau, bag vintage Value Village, hat bought in Athens From north of Greece and beautiful Khalkidhiki peninsula, we headed due south and reached this little town called Athens 😊 . Athens Greece is simply beautiful. No matter where you are in the city, Gods of Acropolis are looking over you. It is such an amazing feeling especially at night when the city is covered by darkness and Acropolis shines in its full light and grandeur. It’s a wonderful feeling to be walking down city streets and being pleasantly surprised by monuments from Ancient Greece as you turn the next corner. I started of my city walk from Monesteriaki neighbourhood and walked around all neighbourhoods surrounding it, from Plaka and Kolonaki to Anafiotika and Gazi. I especially loved Anafiotika. If you love hilly neighbourhoods, then you will love Anafiotika. At night, you can sit on the stairs of cafés and enjoy a cold beer or a cocktail with all the local...
