Sequence Dress for New Years Eve 2017

Dress Mink Pink (from Winners, similar linked), boots Aldo, earrings Amrita Singh , clutch unknown (from Winners) I’ve been debating whether to do a New Year’s outfit post or not. As I’m getting older I find that I am not getting as excited about the New Year Eve as I used. I used to plan months in advance what I would wear. No, I didn’t know where I would be going months in advace, but that had nothing to do with me picking the outfit. It is New Year Eve so being overdressed is not an issue. EVER! This year in particular, the year end crept up so fast that that it caught me unprepared. Not that one of my friends didn’t start asking about our plans way back in October, but I kept ignoring her questions as I could just not wrap my head around it. Too many things were still on the go for 2016 that I had not time to prepare for the 2017. So as I write these lines, I’m still figuring out where I will be going. Sometimes you end up having the most fun when you least plan it,

Manolo Blahnik & a Suit & Tie Outfit

Jeans Zara, coat Zara, blazer Zara, shirt H&M, tie vintage, slingback shoes Manolo Blahnik Do any of you (and I’m talking to the ladies here) ever catch yourself staring at a guy rocking a perfectly tailored suit and a fun tie, and just wish you could rock one too. Well, last week I decided to do just that. I have a thing for fun ties and wish I could wear them more often. This is a tie I found for $2 in a vintage store and decided to buy it. I really wanted it to pop, so I chose to wear it with an all-black suit. Now, this isn’t actually a suit but rather skinny black jeans and a black blazer, but it did the trick. I especially love how the tie picked up on the red detailing of this Zara coat I have been wearing almost non-stop since I purchased it. As the outfit was more “masculine” I wanted to wear very girly shoes. Out came my new-old Manolo Blahnik slingbacks. What amazing feather and sequence detailing on these satin emerald green beauties. If you’re curious to

Leopard Print Coat & OTK Boots in Salem

Coat River Island from Asos, boots Aldo, jeans Zara, sweater Forever 21, White shirt Zara, cross-body bag Proenza Schouler I was debating whether to share this post or not, just simply due to quality of the pictures, but after almost two months of deliberation, I thought they should be shared. This is from my trip to Boston. Our last day we spent in Salem. Yes Salem, the town know for the witch burnings or a witch town.  Our first stop in town was the house of the 7 gables, also made known by Nathaniel Hawthorne in his book by the same name. This is one of the American classic books, and if you have not read it yet, you should. The first picture was taken in front of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s birth home, which was moved next to the house of the seven gables and made into a museum. It was definitely fun to walk both houses and see how people of those times lived. Very low ceilings (for heating purposes of course) is something that stuck with me, and I’m quite a short person.

High Waist Two-Tone Topshop Jeans

Turtleneck H&M, jeans Topshop, velvet booties Zara, bag Ebay, fur cuffs & fur bag accessory Winners It’s almost winter and I have slowly but surely started to pack on my winter weight. A girl has to keep warm, right? These Topshop high waist jeans are a good reminder to eat less or exercise more, whichever one may find easier. I gain my weight first in my belly so I better watch out if I plan to wear these jeans through the winter. Whatever motives you people! Heheheh This was a casual weekend outfit which I wore on one of the first cold days this fall. I finally bought a black winter coat from Zara (I pretty much had them in all other colours but in classic black. Go figure!), so it was time to take it out for a walk. The velvet booties are from Zara as well, but pictures don’t do them justice. The shape is not so clear but what bothers me the most is that colour, which is a beautiful navy, doesn’t show at all. I guess you will have to visit a Zara store to chec

Hot Red Pumps & Maxi Zara Coat

Pumps Zumel  , jeans Zara, coat Zara, sweatshirt Zara, bag Chanel,  When I wear these hot red pumps, the first line that comes to mind is this: Close your eyes and tap your heels together three times. And think to yourself, 'There's no place like home’. Yes, they remind me of Dorothy from Wizard of Oz. What do they make you think of? I have been looking for red pumps. For some reason I had a tough time. The heel was either low, or the colour was not right, or they were out of my budget. Until I found these velvet lipstick red pumps. They suite me just perfectly! How sexy are they?! I paired them here with black skinny jeans which is a no brainer. But I especially love the mix of military green (or olive green) with the red. Such a beautiful yet not so common combination, right? Ciao! Sasha <3

Print Mixing: Florals & Leopard

Coat River Island, top Forever 21, pants Joe Fresh, bag Winners, boots Express It’s absolutely horrible weather outside. So gloomy. Winter is here. For that reason, I’m leaving you today with this outfit shot with my phone on a much, much nicer and warmer day. Love how the florals mix with leopard print. Don’t you think that leopard is just a perfect fun classic print? It just makes any outfit pop yet it’s so classic and never goes out of style. This coat is from River Island. I bought it on Asos though Topshop carries the same style. Ciao! Sasha

Fall Walk in High Park with a Vintage Fur Coat

Fur coat vintage, jeans Zara, socks Asos, mules JustFab, bag vintage Chanel classic maxi I’m continuing with the vintage these in this post as well. Didn’t I say I have become sort of a vintage junky? Today’s find is this gorgeous vintage fur coat with leather inserts. Don’t you find that most vintage fur coats just fit too big? They make you look a bit like Alexis from Dynasty? Though the style may be fitting for that era or for an older woman, wearing giant fur coats when you are young (Yes I still consider myself young hehe) is not very hip (ok fine, I know hip is no longer the most trendy word). This coat also reminds me of Sarah Jessica Parker’s (or better Carrie’s) coat from the first Sex and the City movie. Hers was black but the styles are very similar. I might have been overdressed for a walk in a park, but it was cold and the coat kept me warm. On that note, if you are visiting Toronto, make sure to visit High Park, especially in May during cherry blossom or fal

Vintage Midi Skirt & Brian Atwood

Shoes Brain Atwood, skirt vintage, turtleneck H&M, jacket Zara, fur stole vintage, bag Ebay, fur bag accessory Winners I am a vintage shopping junkie. I love searching for hidden treasures, designer or not. I love looking for great deals. It’s the thrill of the hunt, the uncertainty whether or not you will find something, that keeps me going. I have found some absolutely amazing pieces for a fraction of the price, which are now some of my favourite pieces I own. The fashion recycles, and I love finding a vintage piece that is still very relevant today. A classic you may call it. One of my favourite vintage finds is this skirt I bought not too long ago. I love everything about it: the fit, the colour, the length, the print, the slit in the front…just everything. The material is beautiful wool lined underneath, so as not to be prickly to the skin.  It’s such a classic piece but with a pair of funky stilettos or cool sneakers, and a leather jacket, it is as modern as can be. An

Boston, Harvard, Flare Jeans & Wide Brim Hats

Jeans J Brand , Jacket Zara, t-shirt Forever 21, hat Urban Outfitters, bag Winners I got a little busy personally and professionally, so I’m little late posting my second outfit and post from Boston. But better late than never. I’ll keep it short and let you enjoy the pictures. It was another beautiful sunny day. I wore flare mid-rise jeans with a cropped t-shirt and a leather jacket. I had to wear a bodysuit underneath to keep me warm. It is fall after all. The second day we visited the harbour. I hear summer is a better time for this but we still enjoyed a coffee and a walk around the water. We walked around downtown and went shopping (or more windowshopping) to Newbury Street. We had a late lunch at Cheers (!!), walked around Beacon Hill again and headed to Harvard. When in Rome…. We headed to North End for late night drinks and wandered around beautiful narrow streets. There was so much more to do and see, but there is only so many hours in a day…unfortunately J
