Multitasking Dress

Dress Mystic (Winners just $30), champaign heels Versace (Winners just $200), bracelet and ring Forever 21, earrings old JLO, clutch old unknown. Couple of days ago I talked about buying dresses for weddings and how you should be able to wear them more than just one time and to more then just one occasion. Well here is one example of a dress I wore to my friend’s wedding. I kept is simple as in the first outfit on this page. These champaign colour lace heels from Atelier Versace I found in a very small Winners store back in 2008. I love them! I bought them for my wedding but have worn them since to multiple other weddings, and many more events. Partially because they go with most of my dresses but also because they are one of the most comfortable heels I own. I love dancing (a lot) at the weddings, so the shoe has to be comfortable. I will not dance barefoot, ever! Later I wore it out to a cocktail event paired with black tights, black sue...

Mustard And Purple

Heels Manolo Blahnik, jeans H&M, top Jessica Simpson (Sears), clutch Big Buddha (Winners), earrings Forever 21, watch Michael Kors, metal bracelet Joe Fresh, two gold bracelets H&M Even since I got these amazing purple Maonolos (my very first pair) for my birthday, I have been wanting to pair them with everything. They are so simple yet so sexy. They are definitely one of the most comfortable shoes in my closet. A perfect pump for all occasions. It was not love at first sight. When I saw them online for the first time I didn't like them. I'm not sure if it was the monitor or the picture, but the colour on the computer screen does not give justice to their real colour. But I am in love now, for sure :). I love the combination of purple and mustard yellow. I love how they make each other pop out. So I paired this flirty and frilly top with my favourite skinnies and my lovely Manolos. I love the simplicity of this look. Do you love them as much as I do? Ciao! Al...

Multitasking Skirt

Zara heels and skirt, corset Ebay, clutch Spring, necklace DIY, earrings Amrita Singh, blue ring Ebay   The wedding season is in a full swing. I personally have 4 weddings this summer (excluding the ones I had in the spring and will have in late fall). Dressing for weddings can get to be pretty expensive. It’s a girl thing to have to buy a new dress for every wedding. And with new dress, we usually want to buy shoes that go exactly with that dress. Then hair, makeup, and the bill can add up pretty quickly. In the last few years I have had about 5 weddings per year on average, so imagine how many dresses and shoes that is. Well, I personally will commit offense of wearing one dress to more than just one wedding. I am not a fan of dresses that are too dressy, especially satin ones, so my dresses give me the flexibility to wear them to other events throughout the year. Usually the dress I buy is not too formal. To make is more formal all I do is change up the shoes,...

Manolo Blahnik and Sophia Loren Mix

Skirt Ebay /DIY, belt Asos , top old, heels Manolo Blahnik, clutch Spring, blue ring and snake fingertip ring Ebay, earrings Amrita Singh from Beyond the Rack       I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine always seem short. I'm starting off this week with my anniversary dinner outfit. Actually, a funny, or rather interesting story to go with it. We came to visit my parents and some friends in Kitchener, a city one hour away from Toronto. Both my husband and I completely forgot about our anniversary. We had talked about it couple of days earlier but the day of, nothing. Last minute he remembered it and wanted to take me out for dinner. I had nothing to wear. I had not planned to go out that weekend so all of the clothes that I packed consisted of shorts and casual t-shirts. The mall was already closed so I could not go shopping. Luckily I had this skirt which I brought with me to finish sewing (you can see here what it looked like original...

Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Polka Dot

Cropped chambray shirt Forever 21, shorts H&M, purse Steve Madden, sunglasses Prada (similar here ), sneakers All Star, head scarf old, rings from Aldo, street buy Madrid.   Thirty two feeling like forty two. This has been the weather last few days in Toronto. Being at work is easy, AC is on. Surviving the rest of the day is another thing. But we learn to adapt. This outfit is my survival mode for this humid summer weather. Please don’t take this as a complaint about the hot weather. I am not the one to do so, rarely, especially with our long Canadian winters. I just wanted to give somewhat of an explanation for today’s outfit. As you can tell it is pretty minimal but in this weather, even this feels a lot. This cropped top would also go great with those 80s inspired high waist denim cut-offs. Just please don’t go for those high waist cut-offs that are so short on the bottom that your but cheeks show. No matter how high up the waist they are, it does ...
