After a longer
absence and a much needed mini vacations, I’m back and sharing with you some
new outfits. Just about a week ago or less I went to Boston with couple of
girlfriends for some much needed, girls only, mini vacation. Our moto was: only
feminine energy allowed! This meant leaving behind all that male energy we
accumulate on our really demanding jobs.
I heard many good
things about Boston before, but I gotta say I fell in love with it when I
actually visited. Last year the girls only trip was in Chicago, and though it
is a beautiful city, I loved Boston way, way more. Chicago gets so much credit
for beautiful architecture, but I gotta be honest and say I much prefer that of
Boston. It’s old, more intimate, warm. It’s streets are somewhat confusing, but
considering their beauty, it makes it much more fun getting lost in them. We
visited all of the touristy stuff, Quincy Market, Boston Commons and Public
Garden, Newbury Street, Faneuil Hall, Harborfront, Trinity Church, Cheers Bar (oh yeah!) and so on. But we enjoyed
most just walking the streets of Beacon Hill and North End in beautiful fall
weather. You can enjoy some of its beauty through my pictures, but I find the
pictures don’t do it justice.
The first day I opted
for a layered look. It was sunny and warm but gusts of wind kept keeping us
cool, so layering a few items kept the cold out. I chose very much fall colours
to go with the beautiful fall weather. Old satin H&M dress with lace hem,
gorgeous oversized sleeve Zara sweater, Zara leather moto jacket, vintage fur stole and a must
have over the knee boots from Aldo. I made sure to wear a tight tank top under
a dress for some extra warmth. I find sometimes that looser pieces don’t keep
you warm as much as when you have something hugging your body. My gorgeous
Proenza Schouler bag adds a pop a colour to keep the outfit even more
interesting.
