Yes, Another Shirtdress Outfit - From the Archives

Dress Banana Republic, boots Franco Sarto (Marshalls), hat Urban Outfitters, bag Ebay I came across today these pictures in my email today and decided to post them on the blog. The reason being that I am wearing here the same dress as I did in the last two posts so I figured, three is the charm. Since I did already two posts in the same dress, why not do the third one too, right? It also gives one more suggestion on how to wear the shirtdress. Granted this was taken back in September when the weather still felt like summer and I could go bare legged and with exposed shoulder. It's not that warm anymore here in Canada (maybe Vancouver) but I am sure those of you lucky enough to live in warmer climates, can still appreciate this outfit.  This was a no-makeup, casual Sunday brunch with a friend in a very cute little spot Wish near Yorkville. It's also perfect for dinners, especially date nights. I wore the dress  more casually letting it fall of my shoulder (bare shoulde...

Oversized Shirtdress Styled for Cold Fall Weather: Fall Layering

Dress Banana Republic, boots Aldo , jacket Zara, bag Ebay , bag accessories Ebay , gloves H&M (similar H&M ), scarfs H&M, sunglasses old I have received quite a few requests to post some warmer fall outfits, which sure enough makes sense, as it’s getting pretty cold in Canada. We are still having a gorgeous fall, but it’s getting chilly. And as I always do, I tried this year as well to stretch out the summer season for as long as possible. But it’s time to put on some layers and get warmed up. I always talk in my blog about alternate ways to wear an item, in particular how to transition it from one season to another; but rarely do I get to show you all of those different options. In my last post, I talked about how you can dress up a shirt dress in different ways. Well, today I chose to wear that same exact dress but differently. Firstly, I did not have it cinched at the waist but opted to wear it loose and oversized. This trend is very big for fall but you ...

How to Style a Shirt Dress for Fall

Dress Banana Republic, boots Just Fab, sunglasses Ray-Ban, scarf H&M, bag unknown (Marshalls), rings H&M, bracelet (gift) Fall is in full gear. Trees are changing their colours and I am starting to dread waking up in the morning. Mornings are cold and dark. Luckily weather has been beautiful this fall. I'm off to Chicago this coming weekend and luckily the weather will serve us right. You know how much I love fall clothing and layering, right? I said that one too many times :). I absolutely love fall colours: mustard yellow, burgundy, all of them. Though today's outfit is not really in fall colour, it's still fall appropriate. One staple that everyone should have in their closet is a shirt dress. You can wear it casually on the weekend or dress it up for the office. This soft blue dress is from Banana Republic. I scored it while on sale (wohoo!). It is so versatile that you can wear it many different ways. For today's post, I cinched it at the wai...

Hiking in the Niagara Escarpment in a Sporty Outfit

Sports bra Under Arour, leggings TNA (Aritzia), sneakers Nike (old), shirt H&M, backpack David Jones Paris (similar backpack ), sunglasses Ray-Ban, watch Michael Kors Today I’m doing a post quite different from anything I posted before. I did not initially plan to do it. I had brought the camera to take pictures of the nature, but we ended up taking a few outfit pictures as well. I love the city and everything the city brings, but just the same, I love the nature as well. I find it’s important to have a balance between the two. I believe everyone would benefit mentally and physically if they spent some time in nature at least couple of times a month. After all, we are part of it, aren’t we? One of the things I love doing is hiking. I remember fondly of all the times I went hiking with my grandpa in the mountains and hills of Serbia when I was a kid. It’s unbelievable how much nature can relax all your senses. Even if you have little ones, it’s a fun thing to do for a...

Exploring Toronto Islands in Cropped Top & Jersey Skirt

Sneakers All Star, skirt unknown Winners, crop top Forever 21, bag KGB Black Label (Winners), scarf on the bag - gift, sunglasses Aldo, midi rings H&M, Pearl ring Forever 21, bracelet gift I figured it was time for a new post. Not just because it has been two weeks since the last one, but also because I have this outfit today and couple of others already shot, that I have not shared with you yet. They are summer outfits so I should probably post them while summer is still here, right? Only makes sense J . We’ve already established that I do a lot of bike riding in the summer, which is further supported with today’s post again. This was a fun weekend day. We headed to the Toronto Islands from my home on a bike. It took significantly less time then getting there with a car and finding a parking. We took one of the taxi ferries across and met up with some friends and two gorgeous little girls. It was an unplanned but fun day. We later did a Toronto Island tour on our bikes. G...
